Volunteer - Extra Care Housing Visitors/Activity Leaders

Volunteers help to reduce loneliness and enhance the wellbeing of the tenants of extra-care housing developments in Midlothian. Volunteer visitors provide a friendly visit which could involve chatting, sharing a hobby or interest together or, where appropriate, taking a walk in the local area. Activity Leaders organise group activities such as craft, singing, bingo, games or gentle exercise for tenants to enjoy together.

This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference to individuals living in extra-care housing in Midlothian.

This role takes place for at least 2 hours per week. A minimum commitment of 6 months is requested after training and induction is complete.
