Job Summary

CASST is a specialist substance team who deliver support and intervention to children, adolescent's, young adults and their families who are affected by substance misuse. The service supports 5 -21 years old. The aim is to reduce harm/risk, meet needs, improve outcome's and reverse current trends of chaotic and fatal drugs and alcohol use by providing bespoke interventions to those impacted by substances. This is done in partnership with statutory and other agencies and by using innovative practice in a bid to reduce harm, provide diversion and alternatives to the parents, young people and young adults who are all directly or indirectly affected by substances. Our service supports vulnerable CYP/Families, many of whom face complex and multiple challenges as result of substance use, by providing evidence-based and tailored interventions to address need. The post is required to ensure a full compliment of staff that can support interventions in a bid to address the national drug crisis and its impact on the community of North Ayrshire.
