Children and Families service in North Ayrshire is undertaking an exciting time of change and we are recruiting Social Workers to join our Garnock Valley and North Coast Team. We have implemented Signs of Safety and Safe and Together and redesigned our key Children and Families paperwork utilising these models to assist practitioners to have the tools to work where at all possible in collaboration with families and their networks.

We feel these best support change where child welfare/child protection worries are identified and enables workers to spend their time focused on relationships and working directly with families. We believe this supports relationship-based practice and offers workers the chance to build effective, qualitative relationships with children and families to ensure the best outcomes for the whole family. Working within the legislative framework you will support vulnerable children and their families.

The applicant will also write sound assessments, intervention and child plans. Attendance at meetings such as Looked after Reviews, children's hearings and child protection meetings is required, and the ability to be child centred in all that you do.

The team practice from a strength-based approach and are passionate about working alongside families in a trauma informed manner and with a focus on establishing relationship-based approaches. Enabling families to reach in for support to ensure they are accessing the right support at the right time. We are passionate about making sure our workers get the opportunity to provide effective support that improves outcomes for children.
