Locality Social Work Manager (2 Posts) (1 Permanent, 1 Temporary)

North Lanarkshire is committed to delivering quality services within local communities and we currently have an opportunity for a creative and inspirational leader to join our locality management teams in Airdrie and Coatbridge

Our Adult Social Work teams are committed to supporting people to lead active, independent and healthy lives and this key role will have responsibility for local operational service provision and delivery.

As the Locality Social Work Manager you will review, transform and improve professional practice, governance and quality assurance for the team. With a background working in social work, you should possess a high level of professional knowledge and experience to enable you to make a positive contribution to partnership working, promoting Social Work values and standards. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for initiating and delivering operational and strategic priorities, reviewing team performance and driving forward continuous improvement.

We are looking for an individual who has the relevant experience, personal qualities, knowledge and skills to be able to make decisions for the service which is able to support strategic policy framework, standards and service objectives. A professional qualification in Social Work with significant management experience within Social Work is essential.

Possession of a professional social work qualification and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) are essential.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.

Post 1 – Airdrie permanent

Post 2 – Coatbridge is temporary until December 2023
