Community Learning and Development Worker Support Worker

Minimum 5 Hours Detached Youth Work (Temporary) multiple posts

NLC7 £26,300 - £28,635 pro rata

Monday - 5:00pm to 6:00pm, Saturday - 6:00pm to 10:00pm

Working within the Community Learning & Development team you will be responsible for delivering CLD services as part of the Community Learning and Development plan. CLD Support Workers will be allocated to Detached Youth Work. Detached Youth Work is a model of youth work practice targeted at young people on their territory (streets, parks, open and shared public spaces). Participation is voluntary and engagement is on the terms of the young people. It begins from where young people are in terms of their values, attitudes, issues, and ambitions and is concerned with their personal, social, and educational development.An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have knowledge of different approaches to working within communities as well as good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. CLD Support Workers will be allocated across North Lanarkshire and will be required to work evenings and weekends as part of the role and responsibilities.Training will be provided to successful applicants.A relevant qualification of SCQF level 4 and above is essential.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
