Senior Social Worker (Justice)                           

NLC12 - £42,662 – £46,926

We are looking for an experienced and creative practitioner or manager to join one of our Locality Justice Teams. You will be responsible for the delivery of justice services across North Lanarkshire and line management responsibility for a team of social workers across the local authority area in the South.   Senior Social Workers provide professional leadership and help us retain our high level of performance of service delivery. Your priorities will be to deliver a high quality statutory criminal service and drive development working collaboratively with external agencies and colleagues across Education & Families and Adult Social Work. 

You will require strong leadership skills to lead and motivate employees to ensure a culture of effective service delivery and focus on quality outcomes are delivered.

Significant post qualifying experience is essential including experience in a relevant discipline.  A track record of successful inter agency working, leadership skills together with knowledge of risk assessment and risk management frameworks are essential as are excellent verbal and written skills.  

You must have a CQSW/DipSW or equivalent, along with significant post qualifying experience in Social Work and be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

As there is a requirement to access ViSOR (the Violent and Sex Offender Register) will require clearance at Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Level 2.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
