We are currently recruiting for a Rehabilitation and Mobility Officer to join our team based in Airdrie Locality Support Services, however, you may be required to work from any Social Work Office throughout North Lanarkshire.
You will provide a rehabilitation and mobility service to people with sensory impairments and work in an integrated way with social work and health colleagues, third sector and other statutory agencies, to provide a quality assessment and care management service to people with sensory impairments, other disabilities, their families and carers.
You will also provide specialist rehabilitation services to this care group, which includes assessment and care management and provision of appropriate rehabilitation package's
In addition you will produce reports, assessments, care plans and interventions in line with demand and service priorities and record all work undertaken in accordance with service policy and procedures.
Possession of a Dip. H.E./foundation degree in rehabilitation studies (visual impairment) or postgraduate diploma in low vision rehabilitation or equivalent is essential.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
