Technician (Property)

(Appointment beyond salary point £30,344 will be dependent on the post holder having relevant SVQ3/HNC)

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated team player with good communication skills to join the Estates team within Asset & Procurement Solutions which is responsible for providing a full range of property management services to the Council. This includes the acquisition, disposal, letting and strategic management of the corporate property portfolio utilising the Council’s corporate property and cartographic database.

To succeed in this role you will be educated to SVQ Level 2/HNC/Higher level or equivalent in a relevant discipline and have moderate experience of working in a property environment. You will assist the team in the implementation of the property disposals and acquisition programme and provide a comprehensive support service to professional staff in property related matters and data management support. You will also be responsible for processing Servitudes and Amenity Land Sales. Applicants educated to SVQ3/HNC level or equivalent in a relevant discipline with extended experience will be considered for appointment at NLC9.

You will have a proven ability to resolve problems, analyse and interpret information, workload planning, be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages and experience in property disposals would be advantageous.

You will require a full driving licence to undertake the role and must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and out with this area to undertake the duties of this post.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
