Relief Vocational Instructor (Carpentry & Joinery)

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£17.84 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Orkney College UHI is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to add to its bank of Vocational Instructors. Hours are offered on an as and when required basis.

Applicants must be educated to at least HNC, SVQ 3 or equivalent SCQF Level 6/7 qualification in a relevant subject area and have recent experience of instructing others within the relevant curriculum area is essential. Up to date industrial experience and knowledge of good educational practice are also required. You should also hold an L+D9D1 Assessor Award and an L+D11 Verifier Award or achieve these within 12 months of appointment.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations with Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
