£25,918 - £26,119 pro rata / £14.20 - £14.31 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Suitable candidates are sought for the above vacancies of Support for Learning Assistant to work in Sanday Community School. As a member of the school team you will be expected to work with pupils, colleagues and parents.

We require candidates to have experience in working with young people and to be committed to supporting, encouraging and including all children in achieving their potential.

You should have a good general education including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy. A specialist or relevant qualification in childcare or education is desirable as is a First Aid Certificate and Child Protection training.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

These posts are subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
