£28,053 - £30,973 pro rata / £15.37- £16.97 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
The main duties of the post will be the survey of houses for Council Tax purposes, assisting the valuation staff with the survey and valuation of non-domestic properties for rating, and assisting in the preparation of the Register of Electors, including door to door canvassing.
Applicants must have a minimum educational qualification of an HNC or SVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline.
The successful applicant will show good communicative skills and have a good local knowledge of Orkney.
Applicants should have a full current driving licence and a suitable vehicle for use in this employment.
