An exciting opportunity to join the Community Planning Team in Perth and Kinross Council as Community Empowerment Officer. This varied role covers a number of aspects of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 and other relevant work areas, including community grants, community asset transfer and local community planning.
The Community Planning Team works in a hybrid model, with a base at 2 High Street. Initially this is on a temporary basis with longer term options becoming available in future. The Individual
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join the team and take forward a number of significant areas of work. Candidates should have an HNC in Community Learning and Development, or other related discipline and a good working knowledge of community engagement, empowerment and funding processes.
The successful candidate should have excellent IT skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team as required. This role requires the post holder to work effectively with colleagues and partners across the Council and other services in Perth and Kinross.
