£17,106 - £18,832 (21.36hours/ week) Fixed Term (for 12 Months)

The Communities Service are looking to recruit a part-time, temporary,  Community Learning Assistant to develop and deliver English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) learner centred programmes for Adults and Community learning.

This post will require the person to work across the Highland/ Strathtay area, and their base will be Birnam Arts, Station Road, Dunkeld PH8 ODS.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Deliver ESOL language classes
  • Deliver in rural localities
  • Engage with a wide range of people and stakeholders
  • Supervise and support volunteers
  • Support collaborative and partnership working
  • Build relationships with individuals, groups including community groups, local staff and partners to support engagement and learning
  • Support the team in peer self-evaluation across Community Learning and Development (CLD) services with partners and communities
  • Contribute to local and community planning in relation to CLD and local outcomes.

You will hold a qualification in Teaching English to speakers of other languages.

You will be committed to co-designing processes with a clear focus on the customer experience enhancing the lives of our communities.
