Job Description

Economic Development Manager - Tourism, Culture & Place PKC11360
£60,459 - £65,095
Pullar House, 35 Kinnoull Street Perth PH1 5GD
This is a rare opportunity to lead the delivery of ambitious economic development programme. Central to our mission of developing a resilient, stronger, greener local economy is our focus on the visitor, cultural and creative economies - capitalising on investment to date, such as the recently opened £27m Perth Museum, and making the case for future investment that will drive the prosperity of our city, towns and rural communities.
You will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of professional staff who design, develop and deliver high impact projects and events. You will also require to work closely with stakeholders and partners, specifically the Council’s external Arm’s Length Organisations (ALEOs) responsible for culture and leisure.
Perth and Kinross is one of the UK's most beautiful areas, offering an amazing opportunity to live life well. Not only that, the Council also offers hybrid working, an excellent annual leave entitlement, annual leave purchase, occupational pension, flexible working, car lease scheme and other benefits including a cycle to work scheme, corporate leisure membership and staff wellbeing support.
To connect and collaborate with colleagues and the communities we serve, our full-time employees work on site for a minimum of 2 days per week with the arrangements for part time employees being agreed on a basis which will ensure that they benefit to an equivalent degree.
