Job Description

 Fly Tipping Co-Ordinator,  PKC10211
£28,831 - £31,740 Fixed Term (until 31 March 2024)
St Martin's House, King Edward Street, Perth PH1 5UT
 
The post holder will be responsible for leading on Fly Tipping within the Safer Communities Team. This is a new post and a test of change where the post holder will work with others in a Persistent, Pragmatic, Partnership approach to fly-tipping be under the following key principles:
•Co-ordination – of resources and response
•Tactical Options – develop a menu
•Ownership – given and accepted
•Collaboration – working together to remove the rubbish, restore the site and prevent repeat occurrence
•Intelligence – identification of targets and hot spots
•Investigative Approach – search for identifying marks, witnesses
•Enforcement – wherever possible
•Challenge – When evidence is limited, challenge suspects 
•Communication – messaging to deter and detect offenders and build public confidence
•Communities – working with community groups in line with The Perth and Kinross Offer

The Individual

•Experience of working collaboratively at an operational level
•Experience of delivering small projects at an operational level
•Experience of managing multiple jobs
•Gives a high priority to customer satisfaction
•Develops and maintains effective working relationships with contacts and partners who can assist in delivering and improving services
•Good communication and interpersonal skills
•Experience of preparing reports and delivering presentations
