£28,081 - £29,967 (25.12 hours/week)
Pitlochry Community Hospital, Pitlochry.
 
A  vacancy has arisen within the integrated Perth and Kinross Occupational Therapy Service for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with experience of working with vulnerable people in the community. It is a part time permanent post based in the North West Locality Team.
 
You will be working with a supportive and collaborative team of Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and clerical assistants based throughout our other Perth and Kinross localities. The North West locality is one of the most picturesque you could find. Comprised of small towns, villages, and rural hamlets it is a scenic and varied  “Gateway to the Highlands of Scotland”. An area of exceptional natural beauty. Due to the rural nature of the patch, there are very close working relationships between primary health, community nursing, social work and all the AHPs. The community hospital is located in Pitlochry and is the hub of multidisciplinary working with the Pitlochry GP surgery on site. You would have a base in Pitlochry – with the option of using the council hub in Perth also. We work a hybrid system of flexible working and support working from home and/or base as required.

The Individual

You will work with people of all ages who need specialist OT assessment and intervention. You will undertake comprehensive assessments and  arrange the provision of equipment, adaptations and community supports to assist individuals  achieve their optimum level of independence in the community. You will have strong assessment skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively with service users and carers. You will be able to demonstrate experience of multi-disciplinary working and be committed to working closely with colleagues from other disciplines. You must be able to work effectively within a team and demonstrate a commitment to improving service provision. You will have good organisational skills and be able to manage a busy caseload. Excellent verbal and written skills are essential. Must have Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and must be registered with HCPC. Appropriate post qualification experience is highly desirable.
