Set at the top of Perth’s North Inch and overlooking the River Tay, St John's RC Academy is at the heart of the North Inch Community Campus.  Our 2-18 all-through school provides education for over one thousand children and young people from nursery to S6.  The campus is a hub of opportunities for the local community, utilising state of the art sports and cultural facilities, offering a wide range of services for all ages.

St John’s RC Academy is looking to recruit a PT of Guidance (Secondary) within our all-through school.  The successful candidate will work within an extended team to deliver universal and targeted support for our young people and their families, enabling them to excel within school, achieve their best and transition to positive destinations.  

St John’s RC Academy’s success is built on respectful relationships, strong partnership working, a culture of self-evaluation for improvement and effective leadership at all levels.  The school offers a wide range of excellent learning experiences for children and young people and achievement is significantly improving across the school year-on-year.

The Individual

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can work within a large team.

You should have experience of planning and delivering engaging and stimulating learning experiences which meet the needs of all learners.  

The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher, with a track record of forming and developing strong relationships and collaborative working practices.  

You will have excellent communication skills and have experience of positively engaging learners, families, colleagues and school partners.  

You will be committed to promoting our school values of fairness, achievement, respect and love through being an outstanding role model for others.

As this is a promoted teaching post, the possession of a Catholic Teaching Certificate (CTC) is an expectation.
