A permanent vacancy has arisen in the South Locality, Crieff Adult Social Work and Social Care Team which manages long term complex cases, across a largely rural area, to the south and west of Perth, including Crieff and Auchterarder. We work with adults and carers from the age of 16 who require social work interventions, supports and services.

Our mission statement here in south locality goes as follows: "We will work together locally to support you to live your best life."  We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and hard working social worker who can help us deliver on this. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, highly skilled, supportive, and motivated team. There is access to a wide range of training, supervision and development opportunities. Additional benefits include flexible working hours and practices, generous annual leave entitlement and pension scheme. As a member of a generic locality team integrated within the Health and Social Care Partnership, you will work as a partner in the Local Integrated Care Service (LINCs), and alongside people, families, and communities. There are many interesting and diverse practice opportunities for front line staff to participate in and develop their skills.

The successful candidate will assist in maintaining vulnerable people in the community, by providing a range of social work and care management services in accordance with the Health and Social Care Standards and the SSSC Codes of Practice. Responsibilities also include statutory work in accordance with the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) 2000 Act and the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, engaging, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Effective time management and organisational skills are essential for a successful autonomous worker to manage a complex caseload. The ability to be flexible and respond to crisis/ competing demands are essential to the role. An in-depth understanding of Self Directed Support and how this can be successfully delivered in a sometimes challenging context, is essential. The ability to integrate and cultivate successful links within the team, partnership as a whole, across key services, and with the community, is highly desirable. Knowledge of services, challenges, demands, and demographics within PKC would be an advantage. An ability and commitment to work creatively and constructively to achieve truly personal outcomes together with your clients is critical.
