Job Description

Occupational Therapist, Perth PKC11295

As we develop our intake service, we are excited to share that we are looking for more enthusiastic, inspiring, Occupational Therapists. This fulltime permanent role will be based within the Perth and Kinross Occupational Therapy Service. An important part of the role will involve information gathering and co-ordination of Occupational Therapy support to identify the most appropriate outcome for service users who have been referred to us. Your role will be to improve a person’s quality of life and you will undertake comprehensive assessments and arrange the provision of equipment, adaptations and community supports to assist individuals to achieve their optimum level of independence in the community. Urgent OT assessments at home will be required within this team and this must be holistic and personalised to avoid layering services and duplication of assessments and visits.
As team inclusion is at the centre of our ethos, we would encourage applications from people that feel as passionately as we do about treating everyone with kindness, dignity and respect. We are looking for someone with a flexible approach and a broad range of assessment skills who can respond to the changing needs of individuals. If you can demonstrate experience of multi-disciplinary working and a commitment to working closely with colleagues and promotion of community-based services, you will fit right in.
We offer:
•A team culture that provides opportunities to improve service provision through innovation and where collaborative and leadership qualities are at the heart of our practice
•The opportunity to work within supportive and stable teams of experienced professionals
•Comprehensive induction and ongoing learning and development
•Excellent terms and conditions
•You will have access to extensive and ongoing training and support for continued professional development.
For purposes of connection and collaboration with colleagues and with the community we serve, our full-time employees work on site for a minimum of 2 days per week with the arrangements for part time employees being agreed on a basis which will ensure that they benefit to an equivalent degree.
