Community Support Officer

 

 

An exciting opportunity for highly motivated individuals to become Community Support Officers.  To carry out regular patrols throughout the area of the Council enforcing relevant environmental and decriminalised parking legislation, issuing fixed penalty notices.   Actively address community safety and antisocial behaviour issues throughout Renfrewshire including youth disorder. Develop appropriate links with the community, local businesses and relevant agencies in respect of environmental and community safety issues. Carry out related educational and promotional activities, all to ensure a Safer and Greener Renfrewshire, improving the environmental quality of life and the feeling of well-being across the Council area.

 

 

You will have experience of working within a public protection or regulatory services environment as well as operational experience of Environmental Protection functions.

 

 

You will further have effective communication, reporting and interpersonal skills, the ability to use your own initiative, work under pressure and contribute toward the delivery of targets and objectives set out for the service and contribute towards a continual improvement within the service. 

 

 

A qualification in environmental legislation is desirable.
