Invest in Renfrewshire is Renfrewshire Council’s Employability Service which aims to boost the local economy and tackle unemployment. We are looking for a highly motivated person, seeking a challenging role within a busy economic development environment. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for engaging with Parents to help support them to employment by providing tailored bespoke support to overcome both real and perceived barriers to enable participation in the labour market. It is essential that you have a minimum of a SVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline or relevant experience at an appropriate level. It is essential that you have experience of working in a similar post delivering employability interventions and dedicated support to individuals to secure employment. You will have experience of utilising EU funding and of meeting EU compliance requirements for client files as well as experience of working with unemployed people with a range of challenges and barriers. In addition: you will have experience of developing and delivering training sessions to groups of unemployed individuals to gain the necessary attributes, skills and experience to progress to sustainable employment. It is desirable that you have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team. Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding.
