Income Advisor (Early Years) (Temporary)

You will be responsible for providing information, advice and representation on both benefits and debt to customers across Renfrewshire.

 

The main duties are to provide a representation and advisory service; to maintain effective case recording system; to provide services in locations agreed by the Management Team, including home visits; to contribute to the preparation and presentation of training programmes and to contribute to the implementation of a marketing and communication strategy.

 

It is essential you have experience and knowledge of welfare rights and current money advice solutions; acting on behalf of clients; effective IT, Communication, Customer Care skills; have a positive view of the welfare of people and families experiencing difficulties; responsible approach to sensitive information and have the ability to work as well as part of a team.

 

Renfrewshire Advice Works is committed to providing excellent customer service and therefore the ability to deal politely and courteously with all internal and external customers is essential.

 

The Advice Works service is a flexible and mobile service and you must have the ability to be flexible and work throughout Renfrewshire.

 

A SVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a relevant subject and attendance at CPAG/LSA/MAS courses on welfare rights and money advice is desirable.

 

A current full driving licence is also desirable.

 

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for six months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
