This is an exciting time to be joining Renfrewshire Council. We are looking to recruit a Lead Officer for our Traffic and Road Safety Team. The post holder will be responsible for managing our Traffic and Road Safety Team as well as delivering Capital Infrastructure projects to improve Road Safety.
We are looking for someone, who is enthusiastic with the skills and experience to deliver our ambitious agenda to provide maximum economic and environmental benefit for Renfrewshire. You will have a passion for providing high quality services to the public and driving service improvements and organisational change.
Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley, you will lead a number of challenging projects and deliver Road Safety improvements in Renfrewshire. You must have relevant professional qualification or experience in Road Safety or Traffic/Transportation environment, substantial experience in multi-disciplinary project work, proven track record in strategic financial management including managing budgets across a range of diverse business units and experience in delivering capital projects in a similar environment.
Understanding of strategic corporate and community planning priorities, ability to manage risk and be accountable for decisions taken and effective project management and co-ordination skills are essential. You will be highly motivated and have effective organisational, time management, influencing, negotiation, written, presentation and verbal communication skills and be able to develop and sustain relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
