Operational Manager- SW LeadRenfrewshire HSCP is seeking a highly motivated individual to become part of the Community Mental Health Senior Management Team. Renfrewshire HSCP is responsible for the provision of community mental health care services to the people of Renfrewshire. The Community Mental Health provision is a partnership between Primary and Secondary Health Care and Social Work Services responsible for the provision of integrated adult Mental Health services. In operational terms the Service will be responsible to existing senior management structures within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and Local Authorities. The Operational Manager for Mental Health Community Integrated Team will have responsibility for leading, managing and developing Community Health and Social Work services for adults and older adults in Renfrewshire. This is a key operational and strategic management role within Renfrewshire Mental Health Service forming part of the Senior Management Team with the Head of Mental Health, Addictions and Learning Disabilities. You will have direct responsibility for the activities of a large multi-disciplinary team and will require to work across Renfrewshire Council and NHS GGC policies and procedures to ensure the priorities of the Partnership are met. This will include clinical and care governance, budget management, workforce planning and organisational development in partnership with the senior management team and professional health leads. You will have a number of distinct social work responsibilities which will include the professional governance of statutory social work within the team and the chairing of Adult Support and Protection Case Conferences. It is essential that you are educated to degree level in social work or possess a professional qualification in Social Work, Health or equivalent. It is further essential that you have practical working knowledge and experience of relevant legislation as well as experience of managing adult support and protection work and working within a risk framework and proven experience of managing demanding and complex service areas and activities. Knowledge and skills relating to commissioning of services from third and private sectors is desirable for this post. The Operational Manager for Community Mental Health is responsible for delivering agreed national and local performance targets within the local area for Mental Health. This post is temporary subject to business needs and funding for 2 years or until the requirement of this post cases which date is sooner.
