This is an exciting time to be joining Renfrewshire Council. We are looking to recruit a new Roads Infrastructure and Operations Manager.  The post holder will be responsible for managing the delivery of our Roads Capital Investment Programme, our roads and streetlighting operations, a wide ranging team of inspectors as well as a range of other infrastructure investment programmes.

 

We are looking for someone, who is enthusiastic with the skills and experience to deliver our ambitious agenda to provide maximum economic and environmental benefit for Renfrewshire. You will have a passion for providing high quality services to the public and driving service improvements and organisational change.

 

Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley, you will lead a number of challenging work areas and make improvements to the Renfrewshire’s Road network and associated infrastructure.

 

You must have Degree and/or hold a relevant professional qualification or evidence of professional competence and skill, proven track record in strategic financial management including managing budgets across a range of diverse business units and substantial experience in multi-disciplinary project work.

 

You will have significant experience in delivering capital projects in a similar environment and be highly motivated with effective organisational, time management, communication, influencing, negotiation and project management skills and be able to develop and sustain relationships with all relevant stakeholders.

 

An understanding of strategic corporate and community planning priorities and the key role of public protection services, knowledge of the statutory and legislative requirements of the service and relevant national and local programmes and frameworks and ability to manage risk and be accountable for decisions taken are also essential.
