An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic manager to join Renfrewshire Council and strategically and operationally lead a large and diverse facilities management service. Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of Soft Facilities Management across many of Renfrewshire Council’s properties including Council buildings, schools and the wider property portfolio.
The successful candidate will lead and drive approximately 1150 staff in delivering a wide range of functions including catering, cleaning and caretaking. You will play a key role in supporting the strategic development, continuous improvement of the delivery of an integrated facilities management service and develop and drive key strategic priorities for the Council, and Environment and Infrastructure to support the communities of Renfrewshire.
Reporting to the Head of Facilities and Property Management, you must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and be able to have strong influencing skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for budget monitoring, driving key national and local strategies and policies as well as ensuring statutory compliance and change management through Council programmes. You must also be able to deal with the public, Elected Members, Chief Officers and have excellent communication, reporting and IT skills.
