Job 1 - Full Time up to 35 hours per week Permanent
Job 2 - Full Time up to 35 hours per week Temporary until 31st March 2024
Job 3 - Part time up to 19 hours per week Temporary until 31st March 2024

*All hours can be negotiated and we will be flexible with any hours requested to the working hours available within the contact centre*

Role Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Customer Advisors to join our Customer Advice and Support Service based at the Galashiels Contact Centre.

You will provide advice and support to customers via telephone, email, live chat, online forms and face to face on a wide range of council services while delivering exceptional customer service.

To deliver high quality advice, information and assistance to members of the public on a range of Council services through face to face, telephone and online contact, and processing the follow-up action using technological systems. For Library Contact Centre sites this includes providing a high quality library service which meets the needs of local communities, fosters and encourages a love of books and reading, and supports lifelong learning whilst promoting a positive, welcoming and helpful image of library and contact centre services to the residents of and visitors to the Scottish Borders at all sites.

This role will suit you if you are a people person and a fast learner with excellent IT and customer service skills.

Essential

At least 5 SCE Standard Grades including English at level 3 or above (or equivalent)

Commitment and ability to achieve an appropriate level of Customer Service qualification or SVQ level 2.
