Role Purpose
An exciting opportunity to join the Assessor service in a senior management role at a time of exciting change in respect of valuation for rating.
To support the delivery of effective Valuation services by formulating, developing and implementing strategic policies, providing expert advice and guidance on operational issues, and to manage the performance of the Assessor for Scottish Borders Council.
To deputise for the Assessor in terms of section 27 of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 and section 84 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992. In deputising for the Assessor, the post holder will be required to adopt the decision making responsibility of the Assessor.
