Hourly Rate: £13.02 - £14.15

Salary: £23,768.96 - £25,831.20 pro rata per annum (Term Time Only)

Contract Duration: Temporary until 11 August 2024

Please note successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale unless they meet certain criteria.

This is a 39 week post, working hours will be during school term only, the salary will be pro-rated accordingly. Please note the salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year).

Role Purpose

Education Worker (Deaf) required to work as an effective member of the support services team at Peebles High School delivering high quality service which supports the integration of deaf pupils into mainstream education.

Essential

Experience or formal qualification in sign language eg BSL/SSE/SEE/English, lip speaking, notetaking and/or language modification.

A commitment to work towards formal qualification in BSL.

Having well developed, receptive and expressive skills.
