Role Purpose

This post offers the opportunity for a highly skilled candidate to be part of the next generation of estates management and service delivery with, and for, Scottish Borders Council. This role is of significant importance to the wider Council objectives and requires a talented and motivated individual with a proven track record in Estates management and service delivery. The post holder will engage with all services within the Council as well as with SBC Councillors. The post also requires close working with other public sector agencies, Scottish Borders communities and the private sector. Estates Management is part of the newly formed Estates division comprising other professional building-related services and facilities management teams, providing a Corporate Landlord service to Scottish Borders Council.

Essential

Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject with some relevant experience in Asset Management Planning or Project Management. A recognised qualification in a property related area e.g. Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS/FRICS)

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
