Role Purpose

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of homeless households? Are you a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Homelessness Team Leader to join our organisation.

As the Homelessness Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of dedicated professionals who provide information and advice to people experiencing homelessness. Your primary objective will be to lead, inspire, and guide your team to ensure the highest level of service delivery.

If you have previous experience in a leadership role within the homelessness/housing sector or a related field and a strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures we would love to hear from you.

The working hours for this post will be Mon – Fri, a hybrid working model will apply with attendance at our Galashiels office on a rotational basis.

Essential

HND level qualification or equivalent in a relevant area
Demonstrable relevant experience

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
