We are looking for someone who can demonstrate they have :
The ambition and drive to motivate and work with others in an enthusiastic and determined way to create a flagship service.
The ability to drive positive change through the business and culture.
Experience of leading, developing & implementing business plans and strategy.
Experience of operational management in key areas of Parks & Environment
The experience of associated areas including finance, HR, procurement and risk.
To work across silos collaboratively and with all stakeholders and partners
A relevant degree or equivalent experience and hold a relevant Chartered status (or gain within a set timescale).

Role Purpose

To lead and manage the Parks & Environment Team in the delivery of these services at a strategic level through developing and implementing progressive programmes of the Parks & Environment Service to meet business objectives of the Council Priorities and Plan

Essential

• Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or evidence of comparable experience and training.
• Membership of relevant Chartered Institute or equivalent or must be obtained within agreed timescale on appointment.
• Continuing professional development

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
