Role Purpose

Scottish Borders Council are looking to recruit a highly motivated, Social Work Assistant to work as part of our statutory children and families team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated, passionate and supportive children and families statutory social work team. Based in our Galashiels office you will form part of the children and families long term team covering the western end of Scottish Borders. This is a post which offers a varied case load in a rural setting.

Essential

HNC/SVQ 3 in Social Care or Childcare and Education OR considerable experience and a commitment to undertake such Training

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
