Job Description

What is the role?

This position will support the robust development and implementation of the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 in South Ayrshire. The successful candidate will develop expertise in all aspects of the Act in order to support the Health & Social Care Partnership (working closely with others across the statutory and voluntary sectors) to effectively meet our duties, support our carers and to continue to build a caring community in South Ayrshire.

The Grade of this post is Grade 3 / Level 10; the hourly rate is from £21.75 to £22.88 and the annual salary is from £39,694-£41,756.  

This post is temporary up to 12 months.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with Children & Adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
