JOB DESCRIPTION
Contribute to the delivery of strategic plans and co-ordinate a range of high-quality services which ensure continuous improvement and efficiency, and which drive transformational change by promoting a positive organisational culture of empowerment, innovation and change.
The specific areas of responsibility will be determined by the Council’s priorities and may change from time to time. Currently, in addition to the principal accountabilities outlined below, this post will have responsibility for:
- Under the Direction of the Service Lead – Legal and Licensing, ensure the provision of a professional legal service with emphasis on high value complex transactions & cases.
- Manage the solicitors, paralegals and the administration assistants that support these.
- Manage and maintain an out of hours service for emergency Child Protection Orders.
- Provide and assist in the training of staff in existing and new legislative developments and be responsible for the management of the Performance Development Review (PDR) process within the team.
