Job Description

What is the role?

Are you an experienced Social Worker who is passionate about improving services and making a difference?  If so it’s an exciting time to join us in South Ayrshire HSCP.  Building on the success of our Strategic Plan and Wellbeing Pledge we have a clear vision for our “team around the locality” to enable services, partners and communities to work together to deliver the best outcomes for those we serve.  Following significant investment in our front-line teams, we are now investing in and restructuring our Senior Management and Professional Leadership capacity within Adult Community Health and Care Services.  As an important member of our leadership team, you will help set direction and drive quality improvement, professional standards and integrated working with a focus on prevention, early intervention and partnership working.

The Grade of these posts are Grade 4 / Level 14; the hourly rate is from £29.46 to £31.25 and the annual salary is from £53,764 to £57,031. Please note these are politically restricted posts.

Interviews for these posts are scheduled to take place week commencing 27 March 2023

The successful candidates will be required to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.

These posts are considered to be Regulated Work with protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member prior to any formal offer of employment being made.  If you wish further information on the PVG Scheme you can visit the Disclosure Scotland website at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk.
