Job Description

What is the role?

Can you make a difference to the future lives of South Ayrshire's visually impaired children?

The Visual Impairment Service is a peripatetic service supporting children from 0-18 years with a diagnosed visual impairment. We seek to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in (Primary/Secondary/Additional Support for Learning) teaching. We are looking for someone who can work collegiately to support families and education staff, as well as deliver learning and teaching to ensure that visually impaired pupils across South Ayrshire achieve their full potential. You must be committed, passionate and a well-qualified teacher who will inspire the learning of our children and young people.

The successful applicant will work across the authority, travelling as required to support children within their relevant setting.

The Grade of this post is Teacher (Maingrade) and the annual salary is from £23,193 to £29,109.
