Location:  Montrose House, Montrose Crescent, Hamilton

South Lanarkshire Council are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self motivated Environmental Health Officer or Technical Officer within Environmental Services who can accept and tackle demanding goals to ensure effective service delivery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking complex pieces of work potentially in relation to all aspects of Environmental Health work. However they will primarily focus on Noise, Public Health, Housing and other Anti-Social Behaviour related legislation. The post is within our Environmental Night Team and requires the candidate to work shifts (4 on 4 off). The Out of Hours Service operates from 16:30 to 03:00,including public holidays. However there is no Service Christmas Eve, Christmas Day nor Hogmanay or New Year’s day. The shifts are 10 hours.

This is a permanent post.

The Technical Officer is a temporary post until 30 September 2023. Any extension would be dependent on existing funding continuing.
