An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Lanarkshire Council’s Housing and Technical Resources, for a Training Co-ordinator to be the lead for all training issues within the Council’s HOME project.
You will have experience of working for a housing organisation or previous Housing Systems experience, as well as a proven track record of identifying training needs across organisations.
You will have responsibility for delivering training on complex business systems such as housing management, CRM or repairs systems, as well as developing formal training programmes and courses, including supporting course material, so clear written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Experience of delivering a large-scale cross cutting training programme is desirable as is experience of utilising tools and techniques for identifying and documenting training courses.
This role requires a tenacious and self-motivated individual with an ability to work with minimal supervision, comfortable working in an open plan team environment. A team player who possesses excellent time management, planning and organisational skills and who is solution and outcome focussed.

You must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people. Coaching and formal training skills are essential for this role and experience in group facilitation would be useful although not essential. A training qualification is also desirable.

You will be required to attend all work stream lead, team, departmental and organisational meetings as well as attending training and development events, representing the organisation at any seminars, conferences and meetings as deemed appropriate, some of which may be held outside normal working hours.

You will be required to work within the policies and procedures of the organisation to provide a high quality of customer service and in particular, always to have a high regard for the organisation’s Equality Scheme & Policy.

You will act in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 when carrying out tasks associated with the collection, storage, manipulation and monitoring of personal data, and in accordance with the Health & Safety At Work Act (1974) and the organisation’s Health & Safety Policy Statement.

You must be willing and able to work outside of normal office hours on occasion, and although not essential, it would be advantageous if you drive and have access to a vehicle.
