Job Description

Location: Rutherglen Town Hall, 139 Main Street, Rutherglen

Hours:   17.5 hours per week

Shift pattern: 4 week rota (see example attached)

Dependant on the needs of the service.  Will include working a mix of early and late shifts, including some Friday and Saturday nights. To be discussed at interview.

Rutherglen Town Hall is a multi-purpose venue hosting performances, conferences, events and other cultural activities.

We require a Venue Supervisor to assist in the day to day running of the premises, to duty manage events, supervise staff and oversee the ticketing operation within the venue. In addition to this, the role involves supporting the venue management as well as some financial, administrative and marketing tasks.  

We are looking for a flexible individual with excellent communication and organisational skills. As above, the post will involve working shifts in the evenings, at weekends and on public holidays.

Responsibilities

SHIFT PATTERN:

 

It will be a combination of early and late shifts.  An early shift involves opening at 8:00am and working until 4.00pm, late shifts will in the main tend to start at 2.00pm or 3.00pm, sometimes earlier, sometimes later and will finish only when the event is complete.  This can be anywhere from 11.00pm to 1.00am in the morning. There will be considerable evening and weekend working.
