Job Description
Location: John Wright Sports Centre, Calderwood, East Kilbride
Hours:
Post 1: 22 hours per week
Post 2: 13.25 hours per week
Post 3: 12.5 hours per week

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Fitness Assistants to join our team at the John Wright Sports Centre. The successful applicants will support our customers on their fitness journey, building rapport quickly to engage and educate them on the latest fitness trends and support them through their training as well as ensuring that the gym is kept clean and tidy.
You must hold a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, relevant HNC or equivalent.
Applicants must have excellent interaction skills. Experience of working within a gym environment would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.
Please note successful applicants will also be invited to attend a practical session on the day of their interview.

Responsibilities
Overall Purpose
To assist and contribute to the safe and effective running of all club activities
Key Tasks
To promote SLLC memberships options to all existing and potential members in line with targets.
To ensure safe and effective usage of the gym environment for Club users, fellow staff and oneself.
To co-ordinate and provide corporate and site specific retention initiatives.
To carryout cleaning and preventative maintenance duties.

SHIFT PATTERNS:
Post 1: Monday 1pm - 9pm, Tuesday 1.30pm - 10pm, Wednesday 3pm - 10pm
Post 2: Tuesday 3.45pm - 7.30pm, Thursday 4pm - 10pm, Sunday 10am - 2pm
Post 3: Wednesday 3pm - 7.30pm, Thursday 2.15pm - 6.30pm, Friday 1pm - 4.45pm
