Job Description

Location: Based in Hamilton Town House Library, 102 Cadzow Street, Hamilton

Hours: 17.5 hours per week (average hours)

Shift Pattern:

Week1: Thursday and Friday, 8.30 - 16.30

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 8.30 - 16.30

Duration: Fixed term until 27 September 2024

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for a Library Assistant (Deliveries) to join their team.

The successful candidate will drive a vehicle to enable them to deliver library materials to various sites across South Lanarkshire. The post involves driving safely, loading and unloading the vehicle, sorting deliveries en route and physically delivering and uplifting boxes of materials as required.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence. Please note, if successful at interview, the preferred candidates will be required to demonstrate their driving competency prior to the completion of the application process.
