Chief Executive
Location: Stirling
Salary: up to £138,508
We are looking for a Chief Executive to join Stirling Council, and lead our workforce as we strive to innovate the design and delivery of public services. This is a rare and exciting leadership opportunity to work across a local authority area rich with achievement, ideas, and ambition, delivering positive outcomes with, and for, Stirling’s communities.
We are looking for an experienced leader who cares about local democracy, and is capable, in even the most challenging circumstances, of motivating and inspiring others.
You will be a highly effective communicator, a strategic and analytical thinker and have significant experience working at a senior level in a comparable complex, public-facing organisation. You will be able to demonstrate a record of success in embedding a culture of high performance, and be committed to staff, citizen, community, and stakeholder participation.
The role holder requires advanced and astute political awareness, and the appointed individual will need to demonstrate strength, tact, and compassion, when navigating a complex political working environment.
