Cornton Primary School is a vibrant school in the city of Stirling. We are situated in view of both Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. The school is one of five primaries that feed Wallace High School. The roll is 184 and currently has eight classes. We have high expectations and aspirations for all learners within our school and aim to provide the best possible opportunities for them to achieve. We are a community which values lifelong learning and every child is motivated and challenged to be all they can be. Our experienced and dedicated staff team are committed to ensuring learning is relevant, engaging, exciting and purposeful. We are seeking a Depute Headteacher to join the team who will be innovative and ambitious. Working in collaboration with the Headteacher the Depute Headteacher will lead and support the staff and pupils to success. The Depute Headteacher will be able to ensure the highest standards of pupil support, wellbeing for all, partnership working, and coordinating targeted interventions. The successful candidate will have: • Excellent pedagogical knowledge • Demonstrates sound judgement & decision making • Experience of middle leadership • Understands and experienced in supporting pupils with Additional Support Needs • commitment for equity and GIRFEC • be data literate This post is 1.0fte; 35 hours a week with a start date of August 2023.
