Kennel Keeper (Part Time)

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen, to work as part of a small team of kennel keepers at the Bandeath Stray Dog Shelter providing care for Stray Dogs at a time when they need it most. This is a challenging but rewarding role suited to a person with knowledge and experience in the care of dogs. The post is mainly weekend working with additional hours available as required by the Shelter. The postholder will provide care to a variety of dogs during their shift, including feeding, walking, enrichment, exercise and cleaning duties. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent organisational skills, together with an ability to demonstrate our behaviours - Committed, Collaborative, Customer Focused, Leading and above all, ‘Think How’ focusing on solutions. This post is based at the Council’s Stray Dog Shelter at Bandeath Industrial Estate. The ability to reach the Shelter at weekends will therefore be required.
