Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Graduate Procurement Support Officer, within the Strategic Commissioning team, reporting to a Category Manager. This is a full time permanent post of 35 hours per week. Stirling Council has an opportunity to join a forward thinking team that is focused on personal development and team continuous improvement. As a busy team you will be a highly motivated individual who is well organised, has excellent communication skills and is able to work as part of a team and organise/prioritise their own workload. In this role you will have responsibility for the support and administration of the Procurement function, reporting into the teams management team. Areas of focus will be data collation, reporting, support for policy making, event co-ordination and other support for the main function of the team in contract letting of goods, services and works contracts and purchase to pay processes. The team also play a key role in driving sustainable outcomes from all of the Council’s procurement activity, including but not limited to the Climate Emergency response and the development of the local economy. You will represent Stirling Council at a variety of internal and external forums and working groups. The team has a strong track record of developing Procurement professionals and this is an opportunity to come in and develop a strong and interesting career in public sector Procurement.
