Job Description

A rare opportunity has arisen for a community justice coordinator with West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive person to work alongside the HSCP and Partners to coordinate and develop the work of the Community Justice Partnership. You will be a skilful communicator with experience in building stakeholder relationships and supporting collaborative working. You will have knowledge of Scottish Community Justice policy and related policy areas, be skilled in your communication and have experience and ability to produce written reports with associated data, for local and national groups.

Partnership working is key , we are looking for a strategic thinker who is able to work with partners in promoting the outcomes for individuals who have involvement with the Justice system, to support prevention , ensure the voices of service users are heard and inform planning and to improve experiences of transitions form custody to community.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children/Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
