Job Description

The salary will be pro-rata to the term-time/part-time hours worked.

Post 1 - Alexandria & Dumbarton area 37 hours per week - Work Pattern:- Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm (1 hour unpaid break) (Term-Time, Permanent).

Post 2 - Christie Park Primary School 37 hours per week - Work Pattern:- Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm (1 hour unpaid break) (Term-Time, Permanent).

Post 3 - Peripatetic 14.25 hours per week - Work Pattern:- Monday - Thursday 3.00pm - 6.00pm, Friday 3.00pm - 5.15pm (Term-Time, Fixed Term until 26th June 2024).

Post 4 - St Michael's Primary School 37 hours per week - Work Pattern:- Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm (1 hour unpaid break) (Term-Time, Permanent).

Post 5 - Peripatetic 14.25 hours per week - Work Pattern:- Monday - Thursday 3.00pm - 6.00pm, Friday 3.00pm - 5.15pm (Term-Time, Fixed Term until 26th June 2024).

Post 6 - Vale of Leven Academy 16 hours per week Work Pattern:- Monday & Tuesday 3.30pm - 6.45pm, Wednesday & Thursday 3.00pm - 6.15pm, Friday 3.00pm - 6.00pm (Term-Time, Permanent).

Post 7 - St Patrick's Primary School 14.25 hours per week Work Pattern:- Monday - Thursday 3.00pm - 6.00pm, Friday 3.00pm - 5.15pm (Term-Time, Permanent).

Post 8 - St Michael's Primary School 18.5 hours per week Work Pattern:- Week 1 Monday & Tuesday 7.30am - 4.00pm alternate Wednesday 7.30am - 3.30pm, Week 2 Thursday & Friday 7.30am - 4.00pm (Term-Time, Fixed Term until June 2024).

Vacancies have arisen for Facilities Assistants within the authority’s Alexandria, Dumbarton and Clydebank area.

The post holders will be responsible for the day to day operation of Facilities Management Services within the premise. There will be a requirement to undertake a combination of duties with a flexible day to day variable need, this will include staff supervision, key holding responsibility, cleaning duties, food handling and various other duties as detailed in the job profile.

The post holders will require to adhere to Food Safety Systems of Work and Health and Safety legislations and previous experience in this line of work would be an advantage.

The successful candidates should be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

Applicants will be asked to select their preference according to their availability. Please note that whilst some degree of flexibility in working maybe considered the core cleaning times are as stated.

 

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the Education body and removal from the Register of the General Teaching Council.
