Job Description

This is a fixed term post until 27/08/2027.

West Dunbartonshire Council has a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to be an Apprentice Painter & Decorator.

The Modern Apprentices will join the Council's Maintenance and Repairs team who are
responsible for carrying out in excess of 60,000 repairs/alterations, capital investment
improvements and safety checks to Tenant & Owner Occupied properties Factored by West Dunbartonshire Council each year among other projects.

Maintenance and Repairs have 3 depots, one based at Cochno Street, Clydebank and the other 2 based at Overburn Avenue & Elm Road, Dumbarton covering both Alexandria and Dumbarton geographical areas. We are looking to recruit 1 Modern Apprentice Painter & Decorator to be based in our Dumbarton depots.

We welcome applications if you are aged 16-24 years (or up to age 29, if you are disabled or care experienced), a resident within West Dunbartonshire, have 3 National Grade 4's (one to include English) or equivalent or any other relevant qualifications and experience.
