Job Description
A vacancy has arisen within West Dunbartonshire HSCP, for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to work as part of a Children with Disability Team.
The team comprises of children and family Social Workers, Autism Support at Home Worker, Self-directed Support Co-ordinator and a Care at Home Organiser. You will be supported by the Senior Social Workers who manage the team and will also receive clinical supervision from our OT colleagues within the partnership.
The post holder will deliver a high quality specialist service, providing expert clinical intervention, education and support to children and young people and their carers. Providing specialist assessment, case management, treatment and plan discharge for individuals, with complex rehabilitation needs, they will also support any adaptation that has been assessed for as a need.
The postholder will assist the HSCP to develop services which are responsive to local health needs by developing strong working relationships with all stakeholders across health and social care, community, hospital and residential settings.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with children with complex needs and be expected to have the necessary skills, experience and knowledge of working practices within the Occupational Therapy clinical field. In addition the candidate should demonstrate evidence and knowledge of working within a Health or Social Care environment.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
